APRIL EXHIBIT: WEEDS SEEDS & BUDS

Spring is here and we're celebrating the season it all it's glory with our April exhibit - WEEDS SEEDS & BUDS.  Featuring paintings by three majorly talented artists, Robert Striffolino, Jean Larsen and Amy Brnger, along with some of our other gallery artists.

Exhibit:  April 1 – April 30, 2014

Featured Artists:  Robert Striffolino, Jean Larson and Amy Brnger

Robert Striffolino’s strong and sensual paintings straddle a middle ground somewhere between recognizable images and impressionistic interpretations.  His large canvases invite you into a place of expression, emotion and spirit.

Robert’s work is in many private and corporate collections both nationally and internationally,

“The affinity I have always felt toward Nature continues to fuel my creative drive. It evokes in me the emotion to paint.”  The recognition and power of the ‘life force’ is very strong.”

Jean Larson’s paintings are rich and dreamy compositions strongly influenced by nature and her exotic travels that have brought her from Southern France to Iceland to the Congo.

Her work is in a number of private collections in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

“My paintings might be considered representational in as much as they depict elements of nature such as foliage, landscapes and flowers, but they are not necessarily flowers in a traditional sense.  I have learned much from flowers.”

Amy Brnger’s vibrant paintings lovingly capture the bravura of delicate flowers plucked from the garden and planted in bases.  Her garden scenes and interior images read as a bouquet of lavish colors.

Amy’s paintings are exhibited throughout the United State and Canada.

“….the kinds of still life objects I often choose to paint are themselves directly derived from the landscape: garden flowers leaves, etc. Whatever the subject, all images are painted rapidly, in an effort to capture the changing nature of organic forms.”
